This is an excellent feature, Ralph. I´m just working on a shuffled song and it really keeps me from introducing manual fills in it. Thanks!

I just upgraded to the newest beta (because of the routing to higher outputs, whick works fine!). But for some reason it seems that the "always ride" feature doesn't work correctly anymore. Now it doesn't replace all the hihats with rides, but just around 50%. Rolling Eyes

We'll check that out...

Hi Ralph,

A few questions and observations about the latest beta:

1. How do I have compression default to "off"? Until there are on/off buttons, it will be easier for me to just turn it off entirely.

2. I've noticed that when I load Cubase projects that uses DKFH or BFD, jamstix will not play unless I first bring to GUI to the top of the screen. Only then when I hit play does it work.

3. I also noticed something that seems a bit odd: when I set the latency on my soundcard to 6ms, the first beat had the kick play. But when I bumped te latency up to 93ms (to lower CPU load) the initial kick did not strike.

We'll add a default compression value to the next beta.

That's odd. We'll check that out.

This is a known synch issue that we are working on. It only occurs in the first bar when playing so we recommend leaving a bar of silence for the final mix.

MickGael, please send us the rzdlog.txt file from your Jamstix folder to support@rayzoon.com. It will have debug info that may help us nail down your Cubase issue. We cannot duplicate it here: load with DFHS works fine without having to open the GUI.

Hi Ralph,
great improvements once again !
--added 'Closed' event to hihat + column
--added ability to manually select snare and tom accents in the rhythm tab
--added eight basic fills
all much appreciated, especially the basic stuff, there are lots of great songs out there with sparse but perfect (for the song) drum work.
Horses for courses, in the right context I may enjoy Wackermann or Gadd as well as Keltner or some Nashville studio guy playing a simple straight groove.
Another situation where the simple stuff comes in handy is when you're (mis-) using a rhythm in double time.
So please keep the simple rhythms/accents/fills etc. coming, too - nice to see they're not forgotten.
Something else, could you please explain :
--added idle trigger for DFHS cache logic
What have I missed here ?
Thanks again for all the work you put into this great product !

With the previous versions, if you were using DFHS inside of Jamstix with the cache active and the Jamstix GUI closed and the project being reloaded (so Jamstix loads without opening the GUI), DFHS would not load the cache until the Jamstix GUI was opened once because it was waiting for an idle event that Jamstix was only sending when its GUI was active.

Cool, I understand.
Never had that problem 'cause I use DFHS externally.
Thanks for explaining !
Cheers, Rhino

This is the error messege I receive...I had it with the old beta's too. Not in release 1.32 though.

"Access violation at address 0138A7C1 in module "jamstix.dll". Read of address 00044338."

When I try to put some setting is the box after closing the error message they don't stick - ie: not there when I open it again.

Just thought you'd like to know. Love the new additions in this build. Would still love to see flams on the snares for beats 2 and 4 and also just 4 alone. Very Happy You've added some great "per bar" fills.....

Thanks again!

Hi Marcus, could you send us the rzdlog.txt file from your Jamstix directory?

Also, if you start a new project and load Jamstix in it, do you still get this error?

Off to check out the latest beta, but this comment is based on te last version. It may be fixed in the new version, but just in case:

There seems to be a bug with the "automatic selection field" in Snare and Toms sections.

When you open it, and try and close it by using "cancel" button you get the following error message:

"List index out of bounds (-1)"

Instead, you have to use "cancel" button.
