Sorry if this is dumb, it's been a while since I used any of my music software and I'm re-learning lots of stuff.
I've been playing with the song builder styles and drummers, is there a way to save the fill behaviour (not particular fills mind)?
I generally want the same thing for my drummer behaviour (simple, no snares on fills, follow the groove, that kind of thing
Thanks for looking

Edit - I've just refound the 'save player preset' option -wonder if that does the job

Hi hotmitts,

Good question and definitely not dumb, I never thought about that before since I always work on fills after I'm happy with everything else first.
My opinion is that as randomly as Jamstix generates fills on its own, I doubt that any sort of a "preset" scenario would generate fills you'd be 100% happy with. The Fill window brain controls have ALWAYS been the most unpredictable and erratic thing within Jamstix. Just tweaking the controls while previewing a fill bar will demonstrate how the results vary wildly and uncontrollably, and will "go off the cliff" 99% of the time after tweaking them just a short time in my opinion.
A lot of the time I find I'll get a better result just tweaking the Brain controls and continually recomposing a Fill bar until something occurs that works for me, unless I'm looking for something very specific. HTH

Thanks Azimuth,
taht's interesting, yes I generally find too that the fills are too busy for the song I'm planning.
I was just experimenting earlier in the 'fill' part of the groove editor...I set the slider over to 'style' rather than 'drummer',
taken the 'focus' down on snares and leave toms up...
under structure bring 'unifrom' dial up, and 'simple' under structure

I saved 'player preset' in the brain menu... that does seemd to have saved the fill preferences and then that variation is accessible as a new preset when you choose your drummer
