I have Jamstix 4 Ulimate latest version 4.5 Beta 1 on Windows 11.

Is there a way to create flams with Jamstix such as shown the the following Youtube video?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckIPFHJjcOA

I have tried searching online and through the manual but was unable to find a anything I recognised to do this.

Thanks.

Add an another hit on the same Drum on the opposite hand and then offset the hits by +48 or +32 as shown in the image

Hello Azimuth. I haven’t tried this yet, but from the examples in the video, should not the offset be negative, as I can see the main hits are in different 16th notes positions but the grace notes hit light before them?

Hi Knopf,

Actually you could do either. I usually use a Center sound hit for the "main" hit and an Offset sound hit for the "following" hit. I use positive offset just because in my mind the "following" hit is being done with a limb transitioning from a different kit piece usually. It's really just personal preference. You can also get some interesting effects by varying the type of hit, e.g. double or bounced, of the different hits.
