Use the link supplied by pjl above (https://www.sosnc.gov/online_services/search/Business_Registration_Results) and find the latest annual report for Rayzoon. That will provide the information you seek.
The latest report was filed April 2023; just a few months ago.
I wish some other software company would buy and continue to develop this software. I like it so much. |

| In the 18 years since 2005 when the product was launched, there is still no equivalent drum software on the market that comes close to producing realistic drum parts like Jamstix. I really hope this is not the end of the road. |

I agree. I also bought Jamstix in those early days and I have all the add-ons that were developed over the years.
All I can assume is that not enough income can be generated from this software, and Ralph made an economic decision that he can earn more income in other work. |

| Would be nice if we could be given closure so we can stop speculating and hoping. |

Me too. Unfortunately it’s the risk of going with small developers. I think it’s highly probable that Rayzoon has been a sideline venture for Ralph all along. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever. You pay your money and you take your chance. I’ve gotten great value from Jamstix and it’s addons over the years and when it finally packs it in it might be time to look for something else. I believe Ralph is still supporting the product as it is. I don’t know if He intends to support or develop it further. I doubt that there’s a new version in the works personally, but who knows? |

| I'm not sure how you could improve on jamstix 4. Its a great piece of software. Whenever I play an original that I recorded, I always get asked the same question. Who is playing the drums? they sound awesome. I think Ralph did an awesome job on 4. |

| Have we all considered Covid? It was a global pandemic where millions of people died. I hope everyone on Jamstix is ok, but that could explain the deafening silence... |

An used told once he got support from Ralph self when he asked for, not via forum, though. And the site seems to be updated to 2023. |

| I just got an email promoting a holiday 60% off sale .... so, if we're wondering here whether or not Jamstix is abandonware, who exactly is selling the software, and should we trust the website anymore? |

The website is still functioning and trustworthy. I just helped someone wondering the same thing and their transaction was completed just fine, just in case you're wondering. |

Happy to report I was able to purchase, got the authorization key by email a little over half an hour later, and was able to download and install without any problems.
Good to know Rayzoon are still in business! |

I mean... yes, for sure, I'm glad it's still all functional, but that statement alone is quite telling I feel. I assume it's not all automated? Someone senior at Rayzoon must be making this year's sale happen, right? Could this person not provide even a little public guidance about what's going on with Jamstix generally?
It's been over a year since my last post on this thread, and I think the complete information blackout is getting a bit weird. It really does feel to me like Jamstix has been abandoned — no development for two years, no news of any kind, plenty of "here's my workaround for this" posts on the forum.
However, it's still being proactively marketed and sold. As such, I really think some clarification is important — if there's going to be no further work on it, then fine, it happens. If that is the case though, I think it would be fairer to let potential new buyers know, so they can go into the purchase aware that if, for example, there's some breaking change in the next update of their favourite DAW, they're going to be left twisting in the wind. |

The tragedy in all this is that Jamstix is a unique concept. I am not aware of any other product out there that works the way that Jamstix does. But that is not enough to be commercially successful, and I fear that the growing competition from other virtual drummers has made Ralph feel that he can't compete with them.
Years ago - well ahead of its time - Ralph put forward the idea of a Jam Bassist to join Jamstix, and I for one was ready to buy it as soon as it was available. But that development didn't reach the market. I understand the amount of work involved in developing a product like this, and perhaps it was just too much work for Ralph to resolve all the technical problems.
But I, and many others on this forum, will praise Ralph as a hero. Ralph deserves a medal for the inspired dream he had 20 or so years ago. I believe that Jamstix is a great product and I will continue to support Rayzoon for as long as it is around. |
