|
|
I have Jamstix 4 Ultimate on Windows 10.
Is there a way for Jamstix to generate a fill for a whole bar?
Currently, a fill is generated for half a bar or less.
Thanks. |

| Go to the Fill window and increase the "LENGTH" T-Fill or R-Fill control to 100% (depending upon whether the bar is transitioning to a different Song Part or not). Decrease the Vary control to 0%. HTH |

Thank you so much Azimuth.
I did all that but when I clicked on 'Recompose' to generate a fill, nothing happens. I still have the blank bar.
I have tried playing the track from the beginning to 'reload' the drums and also have cleared the locks showing in the interface but still nothing is generated.
Thanks again. |

| Did you click "recompose" while still in the Fill window? Also, are you running the latest version 4.5.0 Beta1? Maybe post a screenshot so I can see if I notice anything out of the ordinary? |

Yes I did try to recompose a fill whilst in the Fill window.

I updated to the latest version of 4.5.0 Beta1 but still have the same result.

I'm pretty sure the issue is that you are an "Ending" Song Part. Are the Fills okay in all of the other Song Parts?
Since you want a 7 Bar long ending, use a 7 Bar Drum Solo instead. You don't have to use an Intro or Ending type part. A lot of times I will use a Drum Solo type part instead. It's perfect for that type of thing. You could even rename it to Ending if that type of thing bugs you. |

Thanks Azimuth.
I'm re-downloading at the moment for a completely fresh install so I'm unable to try generating a drums solo.
The fills do all work in other bars.
I've never tried generating a drums solo before and don't recall seeing an option for this. Where will I find this option?
When the download is finished and installed I'll certainly try this. It sounds a great option and I'd love to give it a go. |

Just use a Drum Solo "D" (not Solo "S") Song Part instead of an Ending Song Part. Change the number of Reps to adjust the length of the part.
Just right click the "Ending" Song Part and choose Delete Part. Then right click "Verse 7">New Part>Create Drum Solo. |

Thanks again Azimuth,
I've completely reinstalled the latest 4.5 Beta 1 version. I removed the 'Ending' song part and tried 'Verse' and 'Chorus' and the fills now all work.
Also, I've tried your 'Solo Drums' and that was great.
Thank you so much for your invaluable help. It's really very much appreciated. |
