What in the hell do I need to do to have Jamstix save a super simple(or anything) Kick/snare beat in my Mixcraft 9 Pro piano roll editor?? I tried this 3 years ago and could never figure it out so I deleted everything. But now 3 years later I figured I was much more knowledgeable in the DAW world so I re-purchased JS 4XL and still cannot save a DAMN thing!!! Details: open up a Mixcraft project, Load Jamstix virtual instrument to a track, load a kit ( BIG Kit ) into Jamstix, click on Midi Playback, (because that is the only thing that produces a sound) and mouse click a few Kicks, snares and hi hats to practice saving, and it never does. When I re-open my song, Jamstix starts from the home page like it's never been open before. I've saved the kit in Jamstix and completely read the Manual. I absolutely have to be missing something, but what the Fu$$ is it???
PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks so much!!!!!!!

Are you saving the project in Mixcraft or just saving the song in Jamstix.

When you save the song in Jamstix, it only saves the MIDI pattern and the kit is saved separately. In order to open the song with that kit it has to be saved via the DAW.

If you saved a drum kit, it should be available in the kit browser. The song you saved should be available in the Song Wizard quick start song list.

In order to save the Jamstix memory state, You need to save via the DAW / Host.

I use Jamstix 3 and I'm assuming this behavior carried over to v4.

Thanks so much for your reply! It actually really helped guide me in the right direction. (Embarrassingly enough), I wasn't even saving the song in Jamstix
mostly because I was just using it like I use all my Virtual instruments that just load back in to their track when I reopen a project. I was only saving the drum kit preset. I can at least get something to save now even though I still have to reload JS and reload the drum kit every time I open up the project, not to mention the Brain Bleeding Mapping issue I can't figure out. At any rate I did post a fairly detailed (and very elementary) mapping question today. Here's
hoping!
Thanks Again for your help!!
