you must also have the MIDI set correctly or the MIDI icon will not flash. I tested in my studio to see if it blinks with a MIDI channel mismatch.

this one has me stumped. what DAW are you running? i use Reaper on Win10 and tested with Reaper's Virtual keyboard.
