Even if this information is hidden around the corner in some alley so as not to call attention to shy performers, I'd still lovve to see it - I have no idea who some of these styles are based on and it would be fun to research their playing styles a bit to help learn to choose them.

I was looking for the same info a while back and came across what AZ is linking to. Once I knew that, I was able to direct the type of drum style I was going for with the player.

I mostly stick with James Stix, Bohnam, and Nick, for my style of music.

There are some old posts about t his that include some zip files full of JPG's which if you put in the right place will show up inside Jamstix GUI with the names of the drummers and their actual photo...its very helpful. Search back a few years for those posts.

Apologies for being forgetful, but can someone remind me how to set these up?

I seem to remember there was a separate folder for 'players'.
But I've just done clean install of JS4 into my new Win11 DAW, and only have one sub-folder' for 'Sounds' under my data folder
Confused

Hi Guitarfish,

Here's where mine are placed: C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\data\players. Just place the associated picture in the same folder that contains the "Player's" .jxp file.

If you've only got a Sounds folder, something is wrong. I'd try a repair install with the Manager to fix it first.

Thanks Azimuth, I had forgotten that the rest of the data was still installed to Program data even if you select a different path for sounds Embarassed

Have now added a shortcut to that alongside the sounds folder to help me work it out next time my brain fades Laughing

Your latest pics now dowloaded and successfully installed - thanks for putting it all together!

bvesco (who came up with the idea), J van E (who stylized the original batch) and Dewdman42 (who added the later added players) deserve the Lion's share of the credit for it. I actually added very little to them but thanks anyway.
