|
|
My present style uses hi-hat triplets for the chorus. How can I change this to swing triplets.
I tried clearing a bar including 'locked' notes then entering swing hi-hats but the dreaded cross appears and they don't sound.
I'm using the Country Ballad style with James Styxx and would prefer to keep this if possible.

| I'm not sure what you're asking. The Country Ballad style already has the "8th swing" setting maxed out. |

Thanks for replying Azimuth.
My screenshots below show that my Country Ballad Chorus plays Hi-Hats as triplets and how I try to change them to play as swing but I have crossed notes not playing.
I hope this clarifies things.

| They won't play because the Country Ballad style is already composed on a swung grid so they are too close to the following hit. Move them one cell earlier and then adjust the +/- 0-24th timings to taste. |
