On the Groove bar view some kit instruments have a red cross on them. I took this to mean that the instrument was already in use in the Fill or Accent view.

However, I changed an instrument to a cymbal and this had a cross on it but on checking it was not already in use in either the Fill or Accent view. I changed it again and this time the cross disappeared but the instrument had a yellow background.

So I'd like to check the meaning of the red cross and yellow background on kit instruments in the bar view.

The red X will also occur if you have the Enable Limb Controls option enabled and there is insufficient time for the player to move to that Kit piece as composed.

The yellow background indicates an automatically generated Cymbal crash.
