I've just bought Jamstix studio and am trying it for the very first time.

I have it playing to an audio mix in Reaper but Jamstix is adding extra sounds to what is shown in the Kit view. They sound like hand/finger taps on a tom or bongos or something.

I've listened to user songs here and these sounds are not in the songs I've listened to. I've tried the following but still can't get rid of these extra sounds.

1. Selected 'No Jamcussion'.
2. Tried different drummers.
3. Tried different styles.
4. Removed the 'extra' percussion shown in 'Kit' window.
5. Disabled Ghost in Accent.
6. 'Throw-ins' turned down to 0.

As I don't hear these sounds in songs I've listened too then there must be a way for 'Jamstix' to play just what is actually shown in the 'Kit' window and nothing else.

Ok I've found that I need to deselect the percussion tab or remove the default instruments.

Jamstix is playing great now.

Welcome to the forum. Just for your information you can disable the Drums that way also.
