|
|
I have loaded a midi file that had a snare in it which was not needed in the first part of the song so I deleted it in every bar and locked each bar but when I play back the snare is being put back by the AI even though I deleted it and locked the bars..what am I doing wrong please?
I've also just loaded a midi file with no snare and Jamstix is playing adding a snare to the groove..bit confusing...
any help much apreciated..thanks. |

| Maybe it's a snare in the Accent part of the bar? |

Hi shadowfax,
How are you locking the bars? |

Hi guys thanks for the reply's, locking the bar with the lock icon next to the bar display, not aware of any other way, wasn't aware of the other possibility recarding the accent so gotta look into it..
cheers, Kevin |

Hi Kevin,
There are several ways to lock things:
1) The padlock icon: locks the bar you are presently editing.
2) Right click Song Part in Song Sheet: Locking>Lock/Unlock All Bars.
3) Song Menu>Global Actions>Lock All Parts.
There are also menu choices in 2 & 3 to lock/unlock only existing "events".
You might also want to try to import your MIDI file with the Machine model since it is designed to playback midi unmodified just to see if that changes what you are seeing. |
