I'm currently using JS 3.6.1 although I just ordered the upgrade to JS4.

I'm trying to setup some covers of some standards along the lines of a 3 pc rhythm section of drums bass and keys.

I have the brush kit loaded and the song is set for no style and no player. I'm just triggering with midi.

To the point of my post post when I trigger the brushing with one hit on beat 1 of the bar the brushing continues for 4 to 6 beats afterwords. At some points in the tune I need to be able to stop the brushing for a fill or just a short bit of silence. Similar to the way the HH foot will close and stop the open HH.

I tried changing the DMP setting to see if that would help but that doesn't work.

Am I missing something or is this not possible?

Thanks

Update: After installing JS4 the damping on the brush does exactly what I need. I can now set it so it brushes just a bit over 1 beat at tempo.
