I start Cubase as "run as administrator". Have you tried if this makes a difference? |
Thanks for the advice. But I always start Cubase and any other DAW as an administrator. As many of the plug-ins require such rights. |

This hasn't been true in ages, and was only for a very isolated use case. |

Any chance to get Jamstix working with Cubase 11? |

I have Jamstix running with Cubase 11 with no issues. If you have problems maybe sending to support the log files can help. |

Working on C11 here. Can you be more specific about the issue? _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.

Sorry - I first had to find back the password for this forum.
I use Cubase Elements.
In version 10.5 all is well - even when I try it know.
In version 11 Jamstix4 is blocked. The plugin manager says "no valid plugin". |

Meanwhile I updated Cubase 11 from Elements in Pro.
There is no other result: Jamstix is shown as blocked instrument (because of 32 bit - probably).
I wonder why it functions in Your setups.

Use the 64 bit only. _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.

| Yes, of course 64 bit. Cubase works only with 64 bit vsts since a couple of years. |

I wil try a new installation of Jamstix.
As mentioned Jamstix did well in Cubase 10. Cubase 11 seems to recognize only the 32bitJamstix.

Works now - but I had to move the Jamstix.dll in a different VST-folder than in the years before.π€·π»ββοΈ

Just curious if you look in the old folder you were using, is the 32 bit jamstix dll file there?
If so, you can probably delete it then move the Jamstix (64 bit only) dll file to It and it should work.
The problem was likely that if Cubase sees the 32 bit dll it blocks it BUT the 64 bit version has the SAME name so it effectively blocks Jamstix completely.
That is why I always say install 64 bit ONLY. _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.

| It's so odd the way different windoze systems require different settings. I had to turn off the HD setting in Cubase 11 on a Win 10 Pro PC to load the J4 interface without errors. Everything working great and I'm cranking out Midi Patterns to trigger in Gig Performer's Midi Player for live performances - using the Great sound of J4 Drums. |

Microsoft doesn't have the luxury of writing their OS based upon a proprietary hardware environment like Apple does. The fact that Windows works as well as it does with all of the legacy considerations required is actually quite amazing IMO. |
