Using Jamstix with Dedicated Process/Server Mode in Reaper 6.18 works fine.
I turned this off and it reports that...
Your DAW plugin interface is not Hi-DPI aware etc...and doesn't display properly.
I have two questions...
1-Is this normal, or some setting I have incorrectly specified in Reaper or Jamstix.
2-Is there a performance advantage to this option being off.
Thanx |

Hi,
I've personally never seen this message myself (Reaper user) but are you by chance running Cubase? If so see the following post from Ralph:
http://rayzoon2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=48362#48362 and the suggested workaround in the next post below it. |

I'm the one that posted that original problem in cubase 10.5
for sure the issue was in Jamstix - Ralph said he was going to find workaround but never did.
That was almost exactly 1 year ago. |

Please excuse my insolence for missing where you stated you are using Reaper in your original post. You'll likely find that an attitude like that isn't going to get you very far in this Forum. I'm sure you'll figure it all out on your own. |

Hey a_zimuth, it is not the first time you forget to answer something and forget to read something clearly stated. I will report it to Ralph and I hope he makes the best decision with you.
Yeah, o_range, Dale Carnegie rules here. |

Wow, what I thought was a support forum turns out not to be that after all,
Thanx for all your help anyway. |

I don't know how this simple request for an answer to a technical support question got so out of hand.
I apologize to anyone I have offended.
Just for the record I am not a

@ h_whalen,
I don't know if you'll see this but this is normally one of the most helpful forums I have come across on the net. I agree that this has spiraled out of control but you also have to agree that your reply did come across as a bit "snarky". It's all good on my end, now back to your question:
1) No that is not "normal". As I said I have never seen that message myself using Reaper. I also would not be too concerned if everything appears to function properly.
2) According to Ralph, it is definitely preferred to run with that option disabled. However, back in earlier versions of JS, under Win 7, I had to run in that mode and never noticed any performance hit from doing so. I think I did have issues with keystrokes getting sent to JS or something, but it has been a while and I can't say for sure. So if JS runs fine with it disabled, that would be the recommended thing to do. |
