Hello Jammers,
I have recently got back to using Jamstix with REAPER v6 and have a major problem syncing the SPP.
I posted the following on the REAPER forum, since then i've tried many older versions of REAPER going back to 4.97 and get the same issue.
Please could someone confirm this still works - i.e. time signature changes during the song. And yes it is aproblem even tho i manually set the time sig in the song parts in Jamstix. Have tried v3.6.5 and v4.0 bot have the problem.
Many thanks.

I am having problems with Song Position Pointer. I am syncing Jamstix (V3 or V4) VST to Reaper V6. I'm sure this is a new SPP issue as I have been using reaper since 2.5 and it was fixed before. I have recently upgraded to V6 and am seeing the corruption again. I dont think its a config setting. Project Timebase is Beats (position, length, rate) Reaper V6.18 windows 10 20H2.
I have tried on a clean install of V6.18 on a different pc too. Midi monitor VST's show similar corruption so I dont think it is Jamstix either.
Basically, all is fine until you add a new time signature. Then the SPP goes out of sync. If you remove the time sig change then all is ok again. Please see following LICEcap.

Reaper V6 file with JS SPP/MTC bug
watch the bar and beats go wrong in JS when you get to the time sig change
p.s. does anyone have a vst we can use to display the SPP?

SOLVED.
So I found by trial and error (and now remember!) that JS has to have EXACTLY the right number of bars in the song at the changed time sigs. e.g. if not exact, random bar numbers are shown in the JS display and it plays from those random bar numbers. Clearly SPP is not being transmitted (or maybe not interpreted by JS) to the VSTi. |

| You can only have one time sig per song part in Jamstix. The time sig markers in the DAW have to correspond with the beginning and end of every Jamstix song part. If the time sig marker in the DAW occurs during the song part, Jamstix can't sync to the DAW. SPP is a one way street, from host to plugin. |

Thakyou a_zimuth. This is the problem exactly. I recommend this line goes into the user manual! |
