Hey
So I have been trying to send my midi out to other Drum VSTs (Superior drummer 3 for example) but when I “copy” it from the drag and drop box, it sounds far different than when I am having it play through along with Jamstix.
I have tried reconfiguring the midi mapping, per kit, to the actual preset since Ralph was thorough enough to put that in, but it seems like its not coming out properly because if I turn jamstix off, the drums sound terrible
Ive done it direct midi in as well as through a midi track and then in
Can you please let me know what I’m doing wrong, because it must be user error on some part
Thanks |

I have SD2 and I could never get anything from Jamstix to translate properly when trying to use it ever since I got it. I finally decided to try and figure out why. I basically had to go through and mainly adjust a lot of SD2 articulations velocities on a lot of the kit pieces to try and match Jamstix.
I never got it absolutely perfect, but it is close enough now that it is useable. |

| I don't have a template or a set of articulations to suggest. It really varies from Jamstix style to style and player to player I find. I just have to sit down and listen and try to match things up as close as possible. |

Ok
So you’re talking about the graphical “curve” that you can adjust in the jamming settings, to be clear ?? (Not so much the decay, rise and fall (and audio/midi trim) of the four knob controls??)
Also have you had better or any success with MODO, SD3 or XLN?
Thanks |

Hi CR,
No, I don't change anything in Jamstix. I only make changes to SD2 kit piece articulations. Most of the adjustment usually involves the velocity of the different articulations to even out the response to Jamstix midi output. I find the Transient plug in is also helpful getting the attack of the kit pieces correct. Sorry I don't have a detailed answer for you. There are a lot of variables involved.
The audio and midi trim settings shouldn't have anything to do with this since I'm directly feeding Jamstix midi output straight into SD2. Those are only for using AudioM8 with Jamstix in Audio or Midi Jam mode.
I've never used any of those other Drum VSTis so I have no idea. |

Ok
Thank you again, and dont worry about the minutia, there are so many things to learn and adjust that I have to just give it some time - and let the seclusion be tamed with this
I just DLed the Ultimate Jamstix 4 so I am going to get busy with all that stuff, which im looking forward to |
