Bounds needs some drum advice, and herald needs lyrics.

Basically, I want a kind of swishy, lazy beat that has a lot of room in it -

and this just feels boring and dry, and everything I do to it doesn't fit. Any suggestions?

Some great guitar licks in there.
Some variation in the hats would help a bit I think.. a little more difference in the open/close and maybe a little less rigid 1.2.3.4 .. if you can pick an articulation that livens them up a bit.
Also more ride would work with this vibe and\or shaker\tambourine ..
I would also try to move the pocket around.

- now it seems that some of the fills are kinda robotic (some anyway, like at 2:49, and the ghost notes are too loud, but im gonna work that out a bit later.

The tom part around 5:15 also is weird...
