| Ralph? I keep checking back to see if there’s any update on this - are you able to reproduce these problems, and are there any fixes in the pipeline? |

Hate to say goodbye to it, but seems like there's not much hope for a stable Jamstix on Mac.
Uninstalled it and will look for other options. |

Sorry you've not had a satisfactory response (or in fact any). Jamstix 4 beta is working at the moment on my Mac, although it has been in and out for the last several months. If you're looking for alternatives, I can recommend Superior Drummer 3.
Steve. |

Hey all,
Just wondering has anyone had success routing Jamstix into superior drummer 3 using the new recording system by UAD? Luna. I’ve tried it all I think. But can’t seem to get them talking |

Might be part of the overall issues with the Jamstix MacOS beta. It seems to have a lot of issues for quite a few people, and kind of feels abandoned.
I have been trying to get responses for quite a while, but there are no updates to this thread from Ralph anymore.
I'd like to go back to it, but I don't have much hope that it's going to be fixed. |

| I cannot tell you any specifics regarding the state of the Mac beta, anything I say would be speculation, but I can definitely tell you it has not been abandoned. I know that there were (are?) huge issues with the compiler for the Mac version and are responsible for a lot of the issues. There's not anything Ralph can personally do regarding that, the developer has to address that. |

It doesn’t seem abandoned to me and what you have said is completely incorrect, it’s more likely the routing inside LUNA, routing works fine in cubase pro etc. Jamstix works great inside LUNA otherwise. |

Maybe not abandoned then, but unloved for sure.
Ralph hasn't responded or provided updates in this thread since Dec 4 (155 days ago), but has been present in many of the threads pertaining to the Windows version.
The beta has certainly got more buggy for me, but I can't wait forever for someone for any responses as there's nothing I can do to fix the issues, and it's way too frustrating to use it in its current state.
It would be great if some work could be done on it, but there's not even anything in the way of a response, even with a direct appeal to Ralph. |

| I had a support ticket and Ralph got right back to me. He said a new update will be out soon and will have Catalina support (my issue) |

Wrote something like that on the forum almost two and a half year ago. Some ppl got mad at me....but I was right. Too bad. JS is a very cool idea. I hope somebody else will give it a go in the future.
I'm using superior drummer now.....which is very very good, but if it had the JS brain it would be epic.
As said before....I hope the guys behind JS will sell it to toontrack some day
Cheers |

I'm all in, because it's going to great when the next Jamstix beta comes out.
I am rather curious as to what compiler is being used for Jamstix 4 mac development (if that can be divulged, total respect if its confidential).
As an IT guy, I wouldn't mind visiting the vendor's site and follow/shadow what's happening with the software.
Is there a link that can be shared? |
