|
|
Hi,
Is there a way to add different hihat frequencies to the disco style?
If I choose it now I can only use 16th notes.
I would also like to use 8th notes.
I tried extracting from different styles, but didn't manage it.
Thanks! |

Could you list the steps - I'm not sure how this works. I followed the steps as I see them above and it didn't work for me - at least it sounds nothing like a disco hi hat style at the moment. Maybe I have done it incorrectly or used the wrong Drummer. |

| Those are the exact steps. You've probably got a hyperactive Drummer or the Drummer you're using has another Hi-Hat generator that is interfering. |

True - and I was sort of imagining a different style and I re-read the opening of the thread, and I think I don't know disco well enough to comment.
Its really taken me some hours to understand Jamstix. I'm just getting into the nitty gritty now, after probably spending about 12 hours or something (I think I spent about 6 hours when I first got it - then I was accumulating a lot of other technologies and doing a lot of research and didn't quite get it synced up with BFD.
Now its synchronizing quite well after I figured out how to work with it on several levels that its capable of. What a lot of work went into this! Its not getting nearly the credit it deserves. |

| "Traditional" Disco is open Hi-hat on 1 "and",2 "and",3 "and" & 4 "and" with closing the Hi-hat with the pedal an 8th beat afterwards. |
