| That is really good, some very strong Foo Fighter influences that I'm detecting. Would damn near be dead on a newer Foo song if you screamed the louder parts at the top of your lungs. Hints of George Martin in the orchestration also. Like it a lot. |

the heavy snares part is appx - 1:36 - its just not interesting enough imo
and the marching part is right after that and it seems also kinda stale not enough rolls
and yeah there's a bit of mick ronson in here |

Switch from Hi-hat to Crash or China cymbals in that section would be the first thing I did. I had noticed that section before when I listened but wasn't bothered by it. Make every 2nd Snare hit 2 separate hits? Some short repetition fills would break it up nicely also.
I'll listen to the marching section later at work and see if I can think of anything.
Do you have the Sophistica Pak with Marcher?
I like that synth trail effect @2:42 on the rake pick you did. |

| first off that rake was a weird sounding mistake so I doubled it and distorted it and put some soundtoys plugin on it. I was probably high. Sounds great. hahahaha |

Holy moly, that is some seriously sophisticated production, Jason!
The part sculpting, transitions, instrumentation, the vocal harmonizing...it's all top-notch.
Along with what Azimuth said, I also get vibes of Beatles and (later) Tears For Fears, if that makes any sense, which it probably doesn't.
And I almost forgot to mention those sometimes jazzy chord progressions. Love that.
What library did you use for the strings (cello etc.)? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| truth be told, I sent them out to be rendered by someone else, which is kind of sketch - but I think they used LASS - they also reworked my chords a bit |
