Jamstix 4.4.3 beta3

Hello,
I'm adding a drum track to an imported MIDI score that has a pickup of 2 measures in 4/4, and then is a sequence of groups of 3 measures in 7/8 and a measure in 6/4u
the song structure is then
INTRO ( 2 x 4/4 )
VERSE ( 3 x 7/8 )
CHORUS ( 6/4 )
with (verse/chorus repeated n times...)
First attempt: I set in Logic a global track with all these time signature changes repeated.
Then when I attempted to build the song in JS4 I was able to set only one time signature, that was extended to all the sections, depending on where the current cursor was in Logic.
So I had all sections (intro, verses and choruses) either in 4/4, or 7/8, or 6/4...
I wasn't able to get rid of this, so I made a
Second attempt: I maintained the 4/4 pickup then I set a tempo of 19/8 for the rest of the song ( 7/8 + 6/4 = 19/8 ), trying to manage each group as a single section, repeated, with terminal fill.
Problem is that JS4 alerts me that the section cannot have more than 18 subdivisions...
so now I'm stuck... I'm still browsing the documentation, but...
Does anyone have suggestions (as a worst case scenario, I can get rid of the 4/4 pickup and use a whole 19/8 intro section)?
Thank you in advance to anyone who will shed a light |

Hello: maybe a basic question, but better to ask: did you activate “time sig changes” in options?
I copy what the manual says regarding this:
| Quote: | 23.1 Changing Time Signatures
If your song uses time signature changes, you need to do the following:
enable ‘Time Sig Changes’ in the Options screen
click on every part length and select the proper time signature for each part
If the time signature changes in your host are not aligned with the ones specified for the parts
then you may encounter synch problems.
Ideally, you wouldn’t have to tell Jamstix your time signatures as it can see them via the VST
interface but unfortunately the song position information of VST is not designed to handle time
signature changes and in order to provide a tight synch to the host we require you to set each
part manually. |

| Create your Intro, Verse & Chorus in the Song Builder. In the Song Sheet double click a song part name. In the window that opens set the number of bars and repetitions and set the desired time signature for that part. Repeat for all other song parts. As Knopf_ pointed out make sure that "Allow Time Sig Changes" is enabled in Options. Also, ensure that you have matching time signature markers in Logic. |
