I am using the latest Reaper 64 bit and everything is working properly. Do you have some volume or Jamstix Song Power automation on your track that you are unaware of? |

| Possibly. Is there a way to turn that feature off. |

| Sound is off on drums when I first open project. If I play to start of song and start again, then I have drums for two seconds. |

| Both 64 & 32 bit versions do this. |

| Readjusted the volume where, in Reaper or Jamstix? Glad that you got it working either way. |

In Reaper. I only see power control in Jamstix.
I still lose drums intermittently. 4.3.1 64bit |

| Is the Master track in Reapers' Mixer Automuting because you're exceeding the limit set for it? Open the Mixer (Ctrl+M by default) and see if the Master Track says "Master Automuted" when you lose your drums before starting playback again. The setting is adjustable in Preferences. |

|
|
Downloaded jamstix and fired up Reaper. Trying to add as a virtual instrument, but is not showing up on the list of VSTs.
Changed options in Reaper to actually see path to VSTs. One of them is programfiles/steinberg/vstplugins folder. In Reaper, there is only one VST there, iZotope Trash 2.dll. However, looking at the folder itself reveals this also is where jamstix4.dll (and audiom8.dll) reside. Just cant see either in Reaper.
Is there a trick I'm not catching here? |

Which cache? The only one in Reaper (as per manual) is for peak/waveform(?) |

Clear cache and rescan didn't work, but got it. There were two folders; X86 and regular (both had the izotope vst). Just pointed it to the non-X86 vst folder where jamstix was and restarted.. |

Glad you got it working. Reaper will do that also if there are both a 32 bit and 64 bit version of plug ins installed in the same folder. I don't remember which way it works but either the first one detected or the last one detected will be entered into Reapers' plug in database and the other will be ignored.
Hope you enjoy JS4 as much as I have. |
