Greetings, everyone

I have a midi drum track with a specific drum pattern (6/8, I believe), similar to Pearl Jam`s "Nothingman", brush kit with sweeping snare and a very soft marching snare:

Dropbox link to audio

I tried to import to JS4 parts of this midi file hoping to get embellishments but so far I have little success recreating it in JS4. Can anybody point me to the right direction? I have complete JS4 with all addons.

(As a side note, this topic could have been a sticky on How to specific beats)

Thanks!

What I found out is that Groove importer SUP3 mapping breaks my midi file. I tried other options but only Jamstix mapping preserves the beat but it doesnt play hihat and snare brush swirls. I can only have kick and marching snare but it is ok because they are the main parts.

What am I doing wrong while importing the SUP3 midi? The midi file doesnt play correctly on its relevant mapping (kit`s output mapping is set to SUP 3 and plays fine).

Is it correct that the Groove Importer imports only one bar (only what can be heard on Preview)?

Are there drummer or style models that can utilize SUPs brush forward-backward snare swirls?

I reckon 'Brush Player' would be worth a try...

Thanks for the tip!

I am experimenting with Toolbox 6-8 style + Brushing element from Brush swing, Marching element from Marcher and Brush Player Drummer.

I almost get there, except I dont get how to introduce constant brush swirls but I will leave it for tomorrow.

(I should say I forgot to set Brush kit in Superior 3 mapping output at first so I wasnt getting swirls. Dont forget to do that before arranging!)
