Hi Guys:
The audio demos for the Star and Nick drummers are excellent. My results using them haven't been quite as stellar. Can someone help me set up JS to get a result similar to any of those audio demos?

Thanks!

The demos use drummer, style and kit as outlined in the titles in the SoundCloud panel. There are of course manual adjustments to the kit sound and brain settings to fit each demo.

Can you tell me what the main issues are? Brain settings? Kit sound?

Thanks so much for responding. I'm very impressed with the demos, but I can't quite seem to pull off anything like that. For instance, on the Major Salt and Sun demos how did you manage to get the snare fills (those are pure Ringo!)? I just can't gt it to happen. Any direction would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks!

You bet.

The first demo is "Star" with the major Salt kit. The fill is at :10-13.
The second is the "Sun" kit and the fills are at :09-10; :16-18 and :24-26.

They channeling Ringo and I'd love to be able to do that.

Those are all created by 'Star' in free form fill mode. Please do this to experiment:

- pick a part and a specific fill you want to experiment with
- go to the desired bar and switch to FILL mode (GROOVE->FILL)
- in the brain make sure that the style/drummer slider at the top is all the way right and that T-Fill Type and R-Fill Type are both set to 'Free Form'
-click 'PREVIEW in the bar editor and use the RECOMPOSE button to change the fill over and over until you hear what you want.

In a real project, you would lock the bar after you've found the fill you want.
You can also use the bar editor menu to save a fill you like particularly and may want to re-use in other projects.

That would be ultra mega great, Ralph. Time ago the user chandler posted the way he works, for example, when he wants to create drums for existing music
