One of my dream would be to ask the *real* drummers to do their version of the Amen break and then compare with their JS counterpart.
That would be so awesome !

Thanks Coises_foiled_again!
I just loaded these up. I find the pictures really helpful in determining which drummer to select.

I wanted to revive this old thread, but it seems like i've got beaten to it long ago.
Very, very generous and so much more informative in a nutshell (used TXT edits back in the day). They will definitely come in handy.
I'm surprised that there are no known handpercussionists among it though. Or female drummers.
I'd still love to see several drummers though (less interesting first, more interesting last):
Cindy Blackman (Lenny Kravitz Band)
Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, or better: Nirvana)
Steve Moore (The Mad Drummer)
Bernard "Pretty" Purdie (for vintage stuff)
Jukka Nevalainen (Nightwish)
Yoshiki Hayashi (X-Japan)
Joey Jordison (Slipknot)
Kevin Sawka (aka KJ Sawka - the human drum machine, The Pendulum)
On the last one, I definitely want a "second snare/kick/hihat" mode for JS3. Yoshiki, Yukka and Joey don't give/take much from themselves. They're all capable of playing "speed" metal (Yoshiki more than Jukka and Joey actually). Then again, I'd actually prefer Joey, since he's more technical.
Again, thanks. Looks like I need to get the AI pak after all. thought Keith was already in the other paks? *scratches head*.
Then again, I barely use other drummers as of late, heh. |

Man, I would kill to have Yoshiki's speed and skill in Jamstix! I'm amazed at what this product offers, and if Yoshiki gets included, I will definitely buy it (I'm currently demoing it)!
Even though all he did in X Japan was basically 2 or 3 beats over and over again. More or less. His staple seems to be frantically sped up syncopated punk beat:
| Code: | 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 -
H x x x x x x x x
S x x x x
K x x x x x |
Even so, he's still a great drummer with tons of stamina, and knows how to put a show!
BTW I'm new here, but I guess some other people might know me from KvR, Native Instruments, or Reaper forums Hello everyone! |

Welcome Evil_Dragon!
I do recognize you from the Kontakt forum. You replied to one of my questions there.

Ditto, thanks! And the soundcloud posting is really nice too. I keep getting lost between drummers though ... one of these days I'll have to put a comment with the name of the new drummer at each transition. _________________ Alexis

Hi all. I know it has been a while since the last post in this thread. I am now the proud owner of Jamstix 4. Is there anyway to use the pics in this new version? Thanks.
All best |

Yes, simply place each JPG file from the ZIP next to its style file in the same folder. Example:
'Charlie.jpg' would go to 'C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\data\players\Rock' _________________ Ralph Zeuner
