Hi, new Jamstix user here
I'm so glad I found this product, it's a real game changer. I used to spend countless hours on getting hi-hats / cymbals and fills to sound right on my demo tracks after programming the main kick / snare groove. Now I can focus on the latter and let Jamstix take care of the rest. Great job guys!
I also love how Jamstix handles odd time signatures. It often is able to compose a musical sounding groove for parts where I would get stuck quickly (I'm a guitar player, not a drummer).
However, there is one aspect that I am still struggling with: combining various odd time signatures in single song sections. E.g. in the song I'm working on now, the Verse riff alternates between 5/4 and 6/4. My current solution is creating a song part for each part of the riff and then copy-pasting these two parts for each repeat in the Verse. When the verse is played again later in the song, I then need to copy-paste these song parts again.
Although this works, it is a tedious process and results in a lot of clutter in the song overview (4 repeats of this Verse results in 8 song parts for something that in theory should be one part).
Is there a better way of handling this type of situations? |

| No unfortunately, you can only have one time signature per part. |

Thanks for the reply! Too bad, but now at least I know that I didn't miss something in the manual
Maybe an idea for a future version? E.g. enable song parts to have child parts allowing additional flexibility for timing and style/drummer within a section, while maintaining the ease of use of having a single part at the root level. This could also be useful for 4/4 parts that have a lot of variation or are very dynamic in nature. |

Right. Maybe that could be handled internally as different parts (the child parts), but for the user would be one big part. So the software could do the copy process automatically. Of course the user should take care of the necessary adjustments in the host. Just thinking, maybe it is programmable. This is a very good software indeed, just thinking about perfection |

Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines And indeed, Jamstix is already super nice to use, but this could make the workflow for some compositions a lot faster! |
