Hi - I did a quick search but couldn't find this referenced in the manual or see any posts about this here. Can you customise the MIDI Input Mapping to suit a custom MIDI keymap?

I have tried both changing the kit MIDI keys to my settings, but nothing has worked.

Check out this thread I think it will help you out:

The Kit Piece Reference ID listings start on page 70 of the User Manual.

Thanks a_zimuth - where is the file with the mappings they are referring too?

Also, it appears that everything is "simplified" on the way in and hence the nuances are lost as they pass through Jamstix?

NVM: I just saw your reference to page 70 in the manual! Thx

Appears the Jamstix 4 manual only had 68 pages. Maybe JS3 manual?

If you use the 'Help' menu in Jamstix, you should see the newer 4.3.0 manual which does have the appendix B starting on page 70.

I have also just updated the manual on the web site ('Documents' and 'Downloads' links) to show the newer 4.3.0 manual as well.

Thanks Ralph - that has helped a lot! Hopefully I'll get my head around how this thing works soon enough! Very Happy

Apologies for not following up with you here tatius. Glad to see Ralph explained where to find what you needed. Long night at work and I needed sleep.
