|
|
We are happy to announce the release of our first Jamstix add-on!
http://www.rayzoon.com/drumpak1.html
It is a Gretsch Catalina birch kit with Custom A 13" hats, a 22" Bosphorus Hammer ride and 18" Wuhan S crash. The pack has 200MB worth of samples and has many more X-samples than the Jamstix default sounds.
X-sampling is having several samples for a sound at a given velocity rather than just one. The audio engine alternates between these samples so that the sound of the drum is varied even if it is hit repeatedly at the same velocity. This is most apparent on the snare but nearly all sounds in DP1 use X samples.
We have priced DP1 very aggressively. Snatch it and let us know what you think and what other DrumPaks you'd like to see in the future! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Go to the mapping tab and click 'Load'. Now select one of the four mappings that start with 'DrumPak #1...'. I recommend the 'DrumPak #1 - Standard' to start with. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks Ralph, I figured it out and have been playing with the #1 Standard.
Wow! This kit sounds really nice! You do realize that you are responsible for me playing hooky today! |

Hi Ralph,
I have the file "DrumPak 1.rxp.txt" file in the AddOns folder, but when I hit "Load" I am in the mappings folder, but no "DrumPak #1" files are there. Am I supposed to go to the AddOns folder? But wait the file extension is not rdm, like the others. What gives?
Thx,
Rick |

Rick,
When you ran Jamstix 1.32, did Jamstix detect the DrumPak file, install it automatically, and give you visual confirmation that it was sucessfully installed? |

No, I didn't notice it. Maybe I should run the update again? I'll try it and post back the results.
Thx,

| Ran the update again, but no DrumPak detected type of notice. |

??
You could always try removing the file from the addons folder and try again until Ralph gets here. |

Ok, she's rippin' now. Somehow the DrumPak file got the added ".txt" extension on it. I droped the ext and it asked me to install it when I started to add the VSTi to my song. One small hitch, though: Jamstix was not showing up on the VSTi list. A restart of my host, N-Track did the trick.
Thanks Leighton!

Yep, some browser hang a .txt extension onto the name. Make sure the file says 'DrumPak 1.rxp'. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
