|
|
When working on a track, sometimes my toms seemed to disappear. It turned out that when listening to a bar when previewing within Jamstix,
certain tom hits would play, but would not sound when the DAW was playing the track. This was due to the priority preventing it from being played
(no two kit pieces being played by the same drummer arm simultaneously).
I do understand this function, but it doesn't act the same when previewing a bar, and when it's played back in the DAW. I'm looking for the behavior
to be exactly the same when previewing a bar within Jamstix, and when the DAW is playing. Is there a setting for that? I couldn't find anything in the
manual (but I'll have another look).
Any feedback is always appreciated! |

Can you do a 'Save Song' in JS for this project and send me the file to the support email? Thanks! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks- I will send it once I get back to my computer.
* In the instance where I found this, I deleted a cymbal hit, and then
the tom hit sounded out. But I will try to recreate the situation and/or
find another spot in the project where that happens. |

Haven't been able to recreate this exactly, but I have an observation:
For hits that are silenced due to priority, they are X'd out in the grid during DAW playback. But the X's disappear from the grid
when previewing within Jamstix, even though the notes are still silenced- usually.
So, 2 requests (unless there's more stuff I'm just not getting):
1. Always indicate silenced notes when previewing a bar within Jamstix
2. A function to give all generated Fill notes 100% priority by default, all at once, as a lot of them seem to get silenced.
* Increasing the priority of a note AND decreasing the priority of another doesn't always work. Quite often, I have to just
delete the note that keeps over-riding the other. |
