I'm not sure what the correct technical term for this is--my drum teacher calls it a "push"--but I have a song where the kick (and sometimes crash) occurs an eighth note before the 1 of the measure a lot of the time. Is there an easy way to handle that? Failing that, is there an easy way to suppress the kick (and/or crash) on the 1 of the next measure?

Sorry if this is a dumb question--I'm new!

Not dumb at all and welcome to the forum. You didn't say what version of Jamstix you have and can't do the following with the free version.

In the Accent window>Brain drop down menu>Extract From Other Player>Rock>John>Accent - Early Downbeat. Then adjust the added control to taste.

Thanks! I'll give that a try.

I'm using Jamstix 4 on Windows 7, so this should be no problem.
