What are the OSX specs for Jamstix 4? I can't find them anywhere Jamstix gets blacklisted by Cubase since it crashes OSX's CoreMidi on trying to load. I'm on 10.9.5.

Also, there appears to be no offline installer option in the OSX Jamstix Manager. Am I missing something?

macOS has no offline installer, at least not at this time. This is due to the generally higher level of connectivity level on Macs (even if temporary).

10.9.5 should be ok. If the JS4 manager runs, JS4 should run as well. Can you email me the logs via 'Email Tech Support' in the manager?

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for responding. There is no log that I can find regarding Jamstix4 and Cubase. Probably because it did not crash Cubase completely, just CoreMidi. I got it to work however, by letting Cubase blacklist it, restarting Cubase so that it ignored Jamstix on start up (CoreMidi didn't crash), then reactivating it from the blacklist inside Cubase. After that it started fine, though I did get a couple of errors trying different things.

In the meantime I have installed El Capitan on a new partition and migrated my Mavericks system over. No Jamstix.

Frankly, I don't like not having backups of Installers for reinstallation available. I really dislike having an internet connection deposit files all over my drives and not being able to put samples on my Sample Drive where they belong.

Do I now have to spend another couple of hours redownloading Jamstix 4 and installing it on the new system? Or is there an offline installer option for osx? Until then, I won't know if my workaround works on El Cap.

Thanks.

Once the macOS version is stable and released, we can look into improving the installer. Sorry for the in convenience for now!

Okay. Thanks.

One of the errors I got once I got it running in Cubase 9.5 on Mavericks was this:

Access violation at address 9066B4A7, accessing address 00000048

if it helps move the Beta along.

Cheers.
