As stated in another thread I think that it would be helpful to create a thread (sticky?) collecting concrete suggestions for the graphical user interface (GUI) of Jamstix.
Any software developer tends to lose track of the newbie perspective over time, thats only natural. So what I propose here is to post optimizations we might come up with to obvious or not so obvious problems pertaining to the interface.
A proposition should be easy to implement and not be a request for additional features.

I'll start with the following.
in Win10 :
To hear the Jamcussion module a "shift click" is required to enable it. The fact that the name of the module is dimmly lit at the beginning is very misleading: i thought that it was on. Only after a forum search did I find out that a shift click is required.
suggestion: make the shift click a single click.
If there are other reasons behind the shift click aproach they should at least be explained in the tooltips (greyed out/ dimmly lit / fully lit). Even then I think that all three states should be toggled by a single click. |

ok, correction:
it seems that to enable Jamcussion for the first time a shift click is required. Then it responds to a single click.
Fine!
Win interface standard.
no change to the GUI required.
But why is the shift click required to activate it at all ?
At least a tooltip for new Jamcussion buyers please. Or a mention in the manual.
