Hey Ralph,
If I wanted to get close the what Rich is doing here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_05xoXMg1YA
where would I start?
I am not a drummer and my ear is not good enough to hear the intricacies of this playing style. Like maybe the kicks are on the beat but snare hits are ahead or behind kind of stuff.
Rich would be a great player to have in JS4 for modern country. He is on tons of stuff.
Thanks

If you have AIPak, I suggest 'Keith' on 'Restrained' with 'Full Power' checked, 'Hats On Ride' unchecked playing the 'Rock - Fatter' kit. For the style, I'd use 'Standard Rock' from 'Toolbox' with the 'Skip 1' preset. After you pick that preset, check the last box in the first 'Synco' row of the 'Kick' and move the probability slider for that row to 70% or so. That way you don't always get that kick after the last snare.
Final thought, experiment with the 'Pocket' knob. I'd say 20 ms or maybe even more should sound just right. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

You rock and so do these suggestions. It sounds great. Even the fills sound like Rich and the snare parts he does.
I have this saved as a Preset now.

| Funny I never thought of Keith as a Tractor Pop drummer LOL. Has Rich ever driven a car into a hotel swimming pool? |

Ralph
The settings you suggested work well for the Groove.
Any thoughts on the Accent and Fill page settings that would get me in the ballpark for what Rich is doing that video for those aspects of his playing?
Thanks
