When I try to use Jamcussion (with or without drum parts), it composes empty percussion parts. When I drag the MIDI of the song sections I've created to my DAW (Ableton Live 10 64 bit), I get single-beat empty phrases. The drum brain seems to be working just fine. What should I do?

Are you loading a Player and Style? Do you have "No Jamcussion" checked in the Build window? Do you have "Disable Jamcussion in new projects" enabled in options? Do you have Jamcussion muted? (shift+click on Perc label)

I double checked all of that. And Jamcussion seems to be working now. Except that when I dragged the MIDI files into Ableton Live and switched Jamstix to MIDI Playback mode, Live quit entirely. Jamstix has too many fatal errors in general, Jamcussion or not.

I'm not sure which of your suggestions made Jamcussion work. The shift+click and "Disable Jamcussion . . ." option are the new things I tried. Everthing else I had already done.

Razoon really needs to make stability and user-friendliness top priorities.

[. . . a few minutes later . . .]
Update: I finally got it to work. Thanks for your suggestions. But it shouldn't have been so hard.

[. . .another few minutes later . . .]
Update 2: I opened another Live project and tried to create Jamcussion parts. First, it wouldn't compose in the "Pop" style. I changed styles and visually got a part to show up in the Groove window, but it makes no sound on my track when I play back the track.
And when I try to drag the parts to MIDI slots in Live, thinking I could use MIDI playback to get a sound, I was somehow forbidden from doing so. Dragging a part to a MIDI slot and hovering over it just gives me a circle with a line through it. No MIDI copying can take place.

[. . . another few minutes later . . . ]
Update 3: I reloaded Jamstix and tried again (see Update 2 above). When I tried to drag-and-drop a MIDI part, the whole program just froze. (The copy cursor no longer showed the circle with the line, but an arrow with a piece of paper icon, or something like that. It froze like that.
I look forward to your response. I'm giving up till then.

Sorry. Should have said. I use Windows 10 (64-bit).
Incidentally, Window Task Manager tells me Jamstix 4 Manager is 32-bit. Does that matter?
In the installation options I've chose the 64-bit VST installation.
I hope it doesn't matter that I have the Jamstix program installed on my C system drive (which is solid state and therefore lower capacity) while the VST and samples are on a storage drive, which is where I keep everything except system and program files, as far as is possible.
The storage drive is internal, not a USB drive or anything like that.

No, that's just the manager not Jamstix itself.
