I really like the Power level setting that are in the Song Parts. And I also like the Min and Max Power setting. I am also seeing (by reading the manual) that I can adjust the power levels with automation in the DAW.

I am learning too that the Brain will use the power levels I have set in the Song Part and will also honor the Min/Max power levels I have set too. This is wonderful! : )

I am wondering if I can adjust the Power levels in the Song Parts with automation also? What I am trying to accomplish is a verse part that is used in the guitar solo to start at a certain power level and build up to more power towards the end.

Or would it be better to just make several sections with each having a different power level?

DAW automation can't be used on individual song part power levels. If you want to do a build up starting at a specific level and then "ramping" to a higher level, that is best handled with DAW automation IMO.

Maybe I should have been more clear. Sorry.

What I like about the Min/Max power setting AND the power settings in the song is that when I give more power to a song part it not only increases the velocity of the hits (within the parameters of the Min/Max power), but also changes the way the drummer plays. And it was this change in the way the drummer plays that I was wondering could be automated also via the power levels in the Song Part.

For that I would experiment with assigning different drummer model brain controls to midi controllers. Without knowing what the drummer model is doing that you like when you vary the Power Level, I can't make any suggestions regarding which brain controls but generally would probably focus on the Accent window controls.

Didn't think of midi controlling a brain module. That's something I will look into.
