This is the song that I had been working on for a few years. Yes years. I was never able to get the real feel of the song with other drum programs or midi loops. I got Jamstix 3 to help me get the feel of my songs and then I upgraded to Win10 and I couldn't get Jamstix 3 to run on my music computer.
It wasn't until Jamstix 4 came out that I was able to get something going and learn the program. And here is the song, in the feel that I was looking for all those years!! : )
I have Jamstix 4 driving Addictive Drums 2, using the Black Oyster kit.
I am a happy camper!

: ) Thanks Jamstix Team! |

Loving the brass and organ work and the prog rock middle section from 2:15 to 3:05. Thanks for sharing! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Man, that is really well done Grem_Songs. Really cool old school, classic vibe. Chicago & Sting (Dream of the Blue Turtles era) come to mind immediately. Really nice.
EDIT: Listening some more and honestly the only mix complaint I can find is the "open" hi-hat. I would pull back the volume on that a few db but other than that it's great. You did an excellent job arranging the horn parts, they work great.

I had some help here . Didn't mean to take all the credit! I was just trying to show what I did with the feel of the song, which has eluded me all these years!!
I did do the drums. Jamstix did do a lot of the parts. I had to change some stuff but it wasn't near as much as I would have had to do had I used midi loops or something like EZD. And I did do the guitar parts too!
A friend of mine named Simeon did the horn arrangement and mellotron in the middle. Another friend named DeeDee did the B3. And finally another friend named Tim did the bass. Joshua Troy Chapman did the vocals.
The song was wrote by me a few years ago when I played in a blues band!! I wanted then to play it but they just kept telling me it had a lot of changes to it! SO I just dropped it. Picked it back up and found out it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be to get the 'feel' just right.
Thanks for all the compliments. I will let everyone know.
