I have a Dell Optiplex running windows 7 SP1 with all windows updates except I don't Windows Update provide any drivers. I have a Dell provided driver dated 3/20/2014 Intel HD Graphics 9.17.10.3517. Sometimes when I start a new Reaper project and add Jamstix and go to the 3D kit it causes the whole screen to go black (what's happening is the driver is crashing and reloads). At that point the 3D Kit window is blank.

On another point - I think the 3D kit is rendering improperly. It reminds of me of when a game in the 90's didn't work correctly with a video card and the colors would be all wrong.

Yes, that's a compatibility issue with the video card driver. Please open the Jamstix manager tool, click 'Troubleshooting' and check the box 'Disable Hardware Acceleration' to fix this.
