I am surprised that Jamstix 4 doesn't have (at least in the 'Load MIDI Output Mappings' dialog box) any of the kits from Superior 2 and is missing several of the Ezxpansions for EZDrummer 2.

There must have been Superior 2 kits in Jamstix 3, yes?

Hopefully this is a temporary oversight. Smile

Anyway, are there any recommended stickies or links to posts or external explaining how to create a Jamstix MIDI output mapping?

You can adjust the midi mapping of the Midi Out Template to match the Key Map of the 3rd party vsti you are using in the Kit window. Click the Articulation for the kit piece you want to adjust to match the Key Map of what you are using and then resave the kit with a new name.

So, there are no Superior 2 MIDI Output Mappings available or coming in an update?

If so, is there a library somewhere where they could be downloaded?

I thought I saw some downloads in a 'library' ... some unsupported ... but now I can't seem to find that library on the site.

Thanks.

The JS3 mappings won't work with JS4.

It's quite easy to create new mappings or to adapt an existing mapping (i.e S3->S2). We'll soon publish guidance on how to do that. We will also incorporate user-created mappings as they are submitted to us.

Great to hear, thank you Ralph.

As you know, many things are "quite easy" when you know how to do them. Wink

I'm getting a cowbell hit that doesn't play when using a Jamstix kit in JS4 when I output to SD2 using SD3 map.

At first I thought it was because I was choosing Charlie Rolling Eyes

I know a helpsheet is on the way but in the meantime how can I figure out which kit piece is being replaced by cowbell?

Question - shouldn't SD3 mappings also work for SD2?

I'm pretty sure this problem began after I upgraded to JS4 from JS3
