If you switch a player preset for a particular bar from default to focused or hand on toms obviously the playing style changes and it's great to use the 'Preview' bar function for this. Is it possible to set it so that the switched preset is just for that bar or those selected few bars while the rest can remain at default. When I made the switch at a particular bar all the earlier bars also switched. Being able to remember style and player presets for any bars would add more flexibility I think.

Jamstix uses 'one brain', so to speak, per part. Changing the preset alters the brain so we can't have two presets operating on the same part. A work-around is to lock all bars of the part in the part menu, then change the presets and unlock only the bars you want to have recomposed.

Thanks for that info - it works and is quite an easy workaround.

I was experimenting a little with this aspect and tried on an un-locked bar changing some style presets. I was using Basic Rock with James Stix as the drummer. When I changed style preset from Default to 16th hi-hat to funky nothing really changed. it did change for 'Ghosting' and then again very little change with setting hard or heavy. Also whilst trying these changes when I adjusted the 'busy' settings for bass drum and snare no change occurred. However when I clicked the player presets then each one changed the feel however again adjusting the 'busy' controls for bass drum and snare had no effect.

Is this something I am doing wrong?
