I'm on Win7 64 bit using Live 32bit host

| Look under Options>General Options and see if Dedicated Process/Server Mode is enabled. If it is, make sure jamstix4.exe is running in Task Manager. |

Did you get a message in the past that Jamstix detected a compatibility issue or did you manually select the server mode in the Jamstix options? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph and A_zimuth
Yes I believe I did get a compatibility issue message when first loading.
I couldn't check the Dedicated Process/server Mode as the Jamstix screen was just a white square with the error message.
I reinstalled JS4 and it appears to work although twice on opening the JS4 console I was getting 860% cpu.
I looked at the general options menu and the Dedicated Process etc is selected. Should I leave like that?
Been exploring JS4 the last hour and it seems to be OK
many thanks

Yes, if you got the compatibility message, you need to run JS4 in server mode. If you ever upgrade to Windows 10, you should no longer need it.
If you get the center respond error again, let me know. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Just wondering if there has been any progress on this issue?
I updated to Manager 4.0.4 and my projects with JS4 already loaded were OK however when I opened a JS3 project and replaced JS3 with JS4 it produced the error message and this now happens on all the JS4 projects.
I suppose I could upgrade to Win 10 at some point |

Win 10 would fix this but in the mean time, whenever you get the white screen screen error, check task manager and kill 'jamstix4.exe' if it is running and then try loading JS4 again.
For project transfer from JS3 to JS4, please do this:
- open project with JS3, do a 'Save Song' in JS3 then remove JS3 and save the project with a different name
- close/reopen project, add JS4 and load saved song data _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Phil,
Add the following entry to your jamstix4.ini file in C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4:
AutoCloseWaitTime=0
This will kill the jamstix4.exe process instantly when you shut down Jamstix. |
