|
|
I have a song with a section that uses a beat pattern that goes like this...
1231231231234
These are all evenly spaced in time, keep in mind, it is not three measures of triplet eigths and then a measure of sixteenths. Is is thirteen evenly spaced notes with accents where the ones are.
I guess it is basically 13/4 if I wanted to have repeating bars of it.
Of course, in Jamstix, I can't do 13/4, (and I AM NOT ASKING FOR IT as I realize we can't have every odd time signature and the resource investment isn't realistic), so what I have done in JS is have a part of 6/4 followed by a part of 7/4 and then alternate those back and forth.
It works but I have this for about five repetitions so it takes up a lot of the song sheet.
Just wondering if there is some other simpler or more efficient way I am not realizing...? _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.

I will definitely give this more attention when the initial JS4 rollout dies down but here's my gut reaction: why not use 13/8, which JS4 supports. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I will look into that. I guess I could do 2 bars of 13/8.
Thanks! _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.
