It does, however, recognize the audioM8 .dll which is contained in the exact same folder. I tried clearing the cache, re-scanning, etc, and nothing seems to work.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!

What OS are you running? 32 or 64 bit? Are you sure that you installed the correct .dll when you ran the Manager?

Win 10 64 bit. As for the correct .dll, I wasn't really offered any options as far as I could tell. It simply ran the installation package and only had a "close" option. And as I mentioned earlier, Reaper has no problem recognizing and loading the audioM8 .dll from the same folder that contains the .dll for JS4.

On another note, is there anywhere I should be transferring, or anything else I should do with the JS4 data folder?

Thanks a lot for your time and assistance!

Is it the full or free version of JS4? You don't have to do anything with the Jamstix 4 Data folder. Also, what version of the Manager did you run? V1.09 is the latest but it should tell you if a newer version is available.

It's the free version, and I downloaded the installation manager for the first time today, so I imagine it would be the most recent!

FWIW, I really hope this works for me as I really hope to purchase the Studio package while it's still on sale Smile

Editing to add: I just checked, and it is indeed v 1.0.9

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugIns;C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins;C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3;

Note that I also scanned and added the non-x86 file path in the corresponding VST plugins folder.

Have you checked each of those folders in Windows Explorer to make sure the jamstix4.dll is actually there in one of them?

I have, and they do. BTW, is there any particular reason why the audioM8 .dll would show up and not the JS4 dll--despite the fact that they are contained in the same folder?

Open the Manager again and click the Options button at top. What path shows in the 64-Bit VST entry and is it checked? I honestly have no idea how Reaper could see the audiom8.dll and not the jamstix4.dll in the same folder.

C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins

And I can see the JS4 .dll right in that folder

What I would suggest next is to send C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\Installer\log.txt to support@rayzoon.com and explain the situation because everything you've checked sounds correct to me. Hopefully Ralph will see this post soon and have some suggestions also.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful on this one.

Yes, send me C:\ProgramData\Jamstix4\Installer\log.txt to support@rayzoon.com and I'll check this out.

In Cubase, it can cause a problem to have BOTH the 32 bit and 64 bit VST files included in the scan. Have you tried adding ONLY the appropriate one?
In other words, remove one of the paths from Reaper’s search paths.
I have seen cases in Cubase where having two .dll present in the scan with the same name actually causes neither to show up inside of Cubase.
