edited to correct your NAME (not sure why I called you "Ray" - I have "ray"zoon on the brain?)

RALPH! (now that I have right name): , painless install and so far everything seems to work and it points to (gets at) all my JS3 Studio info without issues. Bottom-line happy camper so far and Thanks!
“Praise in public – admonish in private” but this is the web so I can’t do the later so onto my only minor annoyance so far (it is NOT a tech or performance issue):
on next update to the Jamstix Manager can you allow the user to have the “Jamstix 4 Data” folder placed somewhere other than the ROOT of a given drive?
So instead of “C:\Jamstix 4 Data” or “D:\Jamstix 4 Data” or ….
I could install it say “D:\Music\Jamstix 4 Data” (which is where I keep ALL music production tools like DAW’s, notation SW, JS3, XLN, Ezkeys, Kontakt, etc…) |

Sure thing, you're not the first one today to suggest this. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| The 3d Kit song information display is higher in the Berlin & Basement environments than the Valley & Factory environments. This makes it very difficult to see with a larger kit loaded. |

Yo all!
Got both JS3 and JS4 installed - so far so good with some quirks. JS3 installed years ago to C drive, JS4 content installed to internal drive. I seem to have all the drums in JS4 OK (I am wondering if Ralph did an overnight patch as my manager downloaded a file this morning - presuming this is now pointing JS4 to the external content? ). So far so good....
However, got no Jamcussion . All the kits are there, but all show red with no audio. All are available in Js3 still. I am wondering if the install into different locations might be an issue (install of content that is... ).
Anyway, have emailed Ralph, but thought I would see if anyone else has an install in different locations but HAS got the percussion working ?
cheers
Mark
(Edit to add.... ok solved this - I think - by setting the 'use JS3 sound data' in the options menu, then repairing. I now have the jamcussion working in JS4. However, I do not know if this is actually the solution - I would presume that JS4 would have the Jamcussion as part of the download and install, regardless of if JS3 is installed or not.. ) |

Thanks! |
No, that is the upgrade price for Jamstix 3 owners. |
Great - thanks! |

It's $49. You can run the free version today to check it out. The upgrade will be available tomorrow and it's just a few clicks in the manager tool to upgrade.
Also, I see you have the JS3 Studio expansions and some MiniPaks. They will all also migrate to JS4 with the upgrade at no additional charge. |
Hej, las wunderbaras news!
I have just bought the upgrade from JS3 five minutes ago. From the text above I understand I can now install all my old expansions and MiniPacks wiht the new manager. In the past was a pain each time I wanted to install all again. I will try it today afternoon and I gess I have work for the weekend.
Thank you for your work, Ralph,
Knopf |

Thanks, Knopf! Yes, all your expansions should show in the manager and install automatically. If you have any issues, just let me know. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph,
Jamstix 4 is awesome. Never thought that the 3d feature could give such a great feeling. To watch like the drummer plays with or without sticks is fantastic. To set the drums to every color isn't just a gimmick, it's fun! Midi mapping with SSD4 works fine, too. Great.
I have a little problem with snare rolls. At recomposing it's too quiet in my opinion, so I always have to click with the right mouse button to change every snare roll from "quiet" to "loud". I'm not in a circus, I`m playing Rock! Is there a value to set this as default?
Great work man.
Thank you.

Thank you! Glad you're enjoying JS4 as much we do, even after all that work. Concerning the snare rolls, are you talking about snare ghosts added by the brain via the accent section? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

It`s in the fill section. Ghosts in structure is 0%. |

Can you re-create the situation with the quite snare rolls, then do 'Save Song' in the song menu and send me the file and tell me the bar number where it is obvious? This will make sure I don't misunderstand which notes we're talking about. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

It was a long wait but hat's off to Ralph on this release.
The 3D seemed interesting when viewing the trailers but what a great addition to the product.
Using Jamstix4Manager, the upgrade went very smooth, registration was easy and the kits sound great. |
