The installer contains a version of the Jamstix Manager and a shortcut on the Start Menu. When it is run, the user is prompted to download a newer version of the Manager if it exists. But then it is up to the user to put the new executable file for the Manager in the proper location, which by default, is the hidden "Program Data" folder.

I see your point. Gonna have to think about that.

Btw, if you run the manager from inside of Jamstix, it will update automatically and to the correct location.

I was running the Manager regularly, through the beta process, before opening the DAW, to check for a new version. But, now, it will probably suffice just to let the GUI tell me if I need to update since it won't be as often. Anyway, I just thought I would mention it.

I am really excited about this Ralph. JS4 looks great, sounds great, and performs really well. I have almost no problems with it. The drums push through the mix now with no real external processing. Before, I couldn't really get them through with the onboard compressor, EQ, etc. Maybe just my inexperience but I think it is a huge improvement! I think users will be very pleased with the new features for the $49 price point.

Thank you, Jason! I also appreciate all the hard work you've put in with the Beta!
While making the new audio demos for JS4, I noticed the same thing about the new kits needing no external FX processing unlike JS3.
