If you've purchased or upgraded to Jamstix 3 on or after August 1st 2014, you are eligible for a free upgrade to Jamstix 4 (PC), which is available now. You can request your Jamstix 4 customer key on our SUPPORT page.
Paying upgrades or new customers, please visit our online shop to purchase Jamstix 4.
The macOS version is in Beta and expected to be released soon.

Changes from Jamstix 3 to Jamstix 4
Quickstart Guide
Let us know if you have any questions or issues installing and using Jamstix 4. Thank you for your patience as it has taken us much, much longer than expected to get to this point! We truly believe that you will be amazed at the new features, improved interface and workflow, elevated sound and, of course, the world's first real-time 3D kit in a major drum plugin.
[CHANGES IN 4.2.0 RELEASED 09/16/2018]
- added new drummer model 'Gavin' and associated kit 'Gavin'
- added bar wrapping mode to groove importer so imports can be adjusted to different time signatures
- added 'Condense Parts' to song builder. If unchecked, sequential parts of same type are no longer condensed to a single part
- style and player presets are now recalled from song project
- improved multi-selection of parts
- overlay dialogs can be made nearly transparent by holding CTRL and SHIFT keys
- added 'AfterTouchChoke' command for output mappings for 3rd party plugins that support that mode
- if 'Install AI files only...' is checked, all kits now automatically load in 'MIDI output only' mode
- added 'Custom Percussion' to Brain menu -> Add
- added '16th' modes to 'Connective Pattern' for Jamcussion Brain menu -> Add
- added 5 new EZX output mappings (Big Rock, Indie Folk, Made Of Metal, Progressive, 70's Rock)
- added player preset 'Power Play' for model 'John'
- enabled brain element 'Freeze' for composing brain elements
- fixed license issue with MetalPak drummers when AIPak is not present
- fixed groove importer considering wrong time signature during import in projects with multiple time sigs under certain circumstances
- fixed information text for 'Jamstix 1' style
- minor adjustments to 'Simon', 'Roger', 'Mel' and 'Steve' kits
[CHANGES IN 4.1.0 RELEASED 06/10/2018]
- NEW STYLE: 'Stop' is now available as a style and part type
- added option to color brain elements by class (red=note-generating brain elements, blue=note-altering brain elements, green=play-filtering brain elements)
- added 'Tom Grid' to brain 'Add' menu (use 1..5 keys to select tom)
- OPTIONS-GUI: added toggle to allow double-click to delete in the bar editor
- OPTIONS-GUI: added toggle for TV display in environment
- added 'Quickstart Guide' to help menu
- 3D KIT: drumstick idle return target is now cross-sticking if last hit movement was for a cross-stick snare note
- SSD4 Input Mapping: added missing hihat foot splash
- Jamcussion now offers special styles 'Silent' and 'Import'
- added 'Email Tech Support' function to HELP menu
- if 'Allow Time Sig Changes' is not checked, changing the time signature in the host now triggers a song reset to adjust for the new groove weights of the new time sig
- kick and snare now use 'Linked Edit'
- SONG BUILDER: added 'Random Pick' to let ir randomly choose from presets for each part
- hihat grid supports CC4 via CTRL+Wheel
- fixed cursor not showing in data entry fields
- fixed bar/beat not reflecting visual bar offset
- 3D-KIT: fixed motion-blur drum sticks occlusion issue when viewing kit from the front
- fixed MIDI key display not updating when clicking in the 'Kit Piece' list while an articulation is selected
- fixed problems with preview function in the load kit dialog
- fixed second snare logic not switching snares under certain circumstances
- fixed sliders in event filtering brain effectors not showing current value in status line
- fixed China 4 placement if rack is active and no other left side kit piece is present
- fixed UI error in jam options screen when changing input velocity map
- fixed Jamcussion kits always loading to output #7 regardless of user setting
- CUBASE: fixed dialog alerting to missing pak in style, player and kit load dialogs opening behind load dialog
- fixed ride cymbal assignments in output mappings for 'Addictive Drums 2'

Having had a look at when I bought Jamstix 3.It says I bought it at 19.21pm on the 20th Dec 2011.How much is it to upgrade to Jamstix 4? _________________ EMU 1820M user |

It's $49. You can run the free version today to check it out. The upgrade will be available tomorrow and it's just a few clicks in the manager tool to upgrade.
Also, I see you have the JS3 Studio expansions and some MiniPaks. They will all also migrate to JS4 with the upgrade at no additional charge. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Great where can I(we) try the free version while we wait until tomorrow? I don't see it but then I guess I can wait a few hours I assume it will ALL be on Shop page tomorrow no matter what
Since I have JS3 Studio I guess I all need is JS4 - sounds like everything will migrate (or work) with JS4 |

According to our database, you are not eligible for the free upgrade.
