Over the years, we've had many complaints/concerns of people trying the Jamstix 3 demo/trial version due to the lack of MIDI output, which made evaluation with 3rd party drum libraries impossible as well as the hissing sound it injected into the audio output. With Jamstix 4, we're changing this by releasing 'Jamstix 4 Free'. This version has no hissing sounds, no MIDI output restrictions and no time limits. It does have the following limitations:
- limited stock kit with reduced velocity layers
- limited number of styles and player models
- no MIDI export/drag-&-drop
- no extracting of style and player model elements
- no custom adding of brain elements
- some 3D-Kit appearance controls are disabled
- some save functions are disabled
We believe that this is the best way to not only provide pre-purchase evaluation but to also express confidence that Jamstix 4 will find its place in your workflow and convince you that it is worth purchasing.
Please note that installation and updating Jamstix 4 is MUCH simpler than with Jamstix 3. In fact, you can upgrade from the free version to the Studio version with just a few mouse clicks. We are eagerly awaiting your feedback on Jamstix 4!

Locked up pretty quick in Reaper. Perhaps I don't know what I am doing, but I could not move forward once locked.
EDIT. All fixed now, Free version running fine in Reaper. Just rebooted and pushed a couple buttons. Thanks for quick response.

My download virtually stopped after URL with a dl speed of 6kb/s and 32350kb to go. It will take a week at this rate What's up?

I'm getting 5MBps here. I'd cancel the install, reopen the manager and try again.

Thanks Ralph I got your mail and it worked out ok. Unfortunately I am having trouble getting the video to sync with the audio output. I have my soundcard latency down to 2ms but the sound doesn't fit the video.

Just for testing, please change the audio driver used in your DAW to DirectSound and see if the kit and audio are synched.
