I've got JS triggering Superior drummer 3 using the superior 2 kit in JS,
the chimes are playing the hi hat, the tamb is playing the cymbals, etc..etc..
never happened with EZ drummer, this is a midi mapping problem I'm sure but how to fix it?
and is it a Superior drummer thing or a JS thing?
had a look at the key map in JS but have no idea what to do..
any help much appreciated...thank you.
best, Kevin |

I'm not aware of JS4 being released yet so I'm using 3... |

There are some users beta testing JS4 that's why I asked. In JS3 load up the Superior 2 kit and then in the Kit window dropdown menu choose "Show Key Map". What I would do next is navigate to C:\jamstix3\data and then print out keys.txt in Notepad. (The keys.txt file is auto generated whenever you load a kit so it always reflects the kit that is loaded)
Compare that against the midi assignments for Superior 3 and you should find the culprits. JS4 has new mappings for Superior 3 but uses a different technique than JS3 so I can't just send you the Superior 3 maps. I hope this helps. Just ask if you need any more info. |

Also, it may just be JS percussion pieces outputting to MIDI. If you run a kit with a mix of Superior sounds and JS sounds (chimes, tambourine etc.), always check 'No MIDI Output For Internal Sounds' in the kit menu. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

yeah that gives me a good starting point, thank you very much
actually, maybe I should wait because I intend to buy JS 4 as soon as it's available... which is soon apparently.. |
