it sounds like the 16ths on the Hats vary in Power level and timing somewhat.

i can easily create the pattern with 16th notes but i am not able to get the feel right.

i tried groove weights but it still does not feel right.

any ideas?

Hi Brian,

I would start with 16th swing and Hi Hat Vary. I'm at work so I can't dig into it at the moment. HTH

It may be best to let jamstix create a bar, then manually edit the velocity and timing of the hats to get the feel you want and then use "use groove as style".
Maybe 1/16ths with the 1/4s having a higher velocity (accented). Hard to get a feel because the clip is short and the player quickly advances to the next clip.

i loaded Jamstix 1 16th Rock as my Style and that works for me.

i forgot those existed.
