Hello - Would someone be able to remind me please whether it's possible to send each drum instrument to its own MIDI track? As of now, the entire project's MIDI output is being recorded on one track.

Thank you!

Hi Alexis,
I don't know about Cubase but you could do that with routing in Reaper. It would probably be easier to just "explode" the notes by pitch to separate tracks but I can't give you any specifics on how to do that with Cubase.

Hi a_zimuth!

Thanks for that. For your use in Reaper ... what settings in JS are you making above and beyond the checkbox in "Allow MIDI output" (by memory), if any?

(Cubase does have the explode which I've used).

Thank you!

I don't do anything besides recording all of JS' midi output to one track. I route all of JS' audio to separate tracks for mixing using the "Output" choices in the "Kit" window dropdown. I "work" almost exclusively with audio.

Thanks again, a_zimuth. I'm interested in routing JS MIDI output on to another drum VST, but just one or two of three drum sounds. I think I should just get down to it and revise the JS output text file so EZ Drummer gets the right mapping!

Thanks again!
